DR JOSE NAVARRO
Jose has completed a three year postgraduate program in periodontology (gum disease) and implant dentistry at the New York University College of Dentistry. For the following two years, he remained at New York University College of Dentistry, where he achieved a Master of Science degree for his high strength ceramics research and taught implant dentistry at the Aesthetics department.
As an experienced implant dentist he has devoted a lot of his clinical time to immediate implant treatments including ‘teeth-in-a-day’ and ‘All-on-4’, where replacement teeth are placed at the same time as the implants are placed. Alongside this, he places conventional implants and utilises guided surgery, where treatment is planned outside of the mouth using CT scans and advanced software, reducing the time and amount of surgery and often improved healing times. Alongside his implant work, he is a DSD (Digital Smile Design) Key Opinion Leader and Instructor, working in close collaboration with Christian Coachman, the founder of the DSD concept. This procedure allows a visualisation of one’s smile design, improved treatment planning and a fully digital workflow, reducing the amount of time in the dental chair.
