The London Clinic and Schoen Clinic London announce partnership agreement

Two highly-regarded HSMA hospitals are collaborating to improve patient pathways in orthopaedics and spinal surgery

Two of the Harley Street Medical Area’s most highly-regarded hospitals, The London Clinic and Schoen Clinic London, have announced a partnership agreement that will support patient pathways in orthopaedics and spinal surgery.

The London Clinic is the largest independent private hospital in the UK and treats thousands of patients every year for many different health conditions. Schoen Clinic, the largest family-run hospital group in Germany, has recently opened a 39-bed hospital in the HSMA, focused on world-class spinal care and orthopaedics.

Clinical services
Under the partnership agreement, The London Clinic will provide a range of clinical services to Schoen Clinic London, including access to its new state-of-the-art 3T MRI scanner and other diagnostic technologies. In addition, patients at Schoen Clinic London will have access to The London Clinic’s extensive network of leading consultants across other medical specialties.

“I believe that this partnership agreement between The London Clinic and the Schoen Clinic London will benefit our leading specialist consultants and their patients, who will have fast access to our comprehensive range of services,” says Al Russell, chief executive of The London Clinic. “Both hospitals have shared values and a focus on providing excellence in healthcare outcomes.”

Specialised treatments
Erin Shaffer, hospital director of Schoen Clinic London, adds: “This partnership allows Schoen Clinic to focus on providing specialised outcome-based orthopaedic and spinal treatments, while ensuring that all aspects of patient care are delivered to the highest possible standards. For this reason, we look forward to working with The London Clinic to provide a seamless pathway for our patients across other medical specialties.”
