Harley Street Medical Area, Medical Forum
IN BRIEF - 20TH MARCH 2017
The third Harley Street Medical Area (HSMA) Medical Forum took place at The Kings Fund. Hosted by The Howard de Walden Estate, the event aims to bring together medics from across specialisms to network with their peers and keep up-to-date on the latest news from the area.
This event saw three guest speakers take to the stage to give an insight into their businesses.
Victoria Morton, Hospital Manager of Schoen Clinic, discussed the new German group’s work on their 40 bed specialised orthopaedic care hospital (opening in 2017), focusing on total spine care, mental health, neurology, surgery and internal medicine.
Josephine Swinhoe, Managing Director of The Tinnitus Clinic gave us a great insight into their treatments, how they can help reduce the impact of tinnitus, hyperacusis and hearing loss of a patient. Josephine also discussed the positive impact that being part of the Harley Street Medical Area has had on her business and the group’s recent trip to Arab Health as part of the HSMA collective.
Tony Rutherford, Executive Director of IVI UK closed the talk with an overview of the largest assisted reproduction group’s history, and how they plan to take best practices from their 70 clinics and reproduce it here, in the Harley Street Medical Area.
The event was a great success and a chance to meet with those working in and around the Harley Street Medical Area.
The next medial forum is in September at The Royal Society of Medicine.
